On the weekend the World Poker Tour announced that the upcoming tour will have some interesting changes put in place. As one of the leading tours Steve Heller has decided to come up with what he believes is inventive and enhances the poker experience, the biggest change and the most players are looking forward to is the shows new anchor.
For the first time the WPT will have an anchor to cover all the stories coming from the event, Steve Heller has decided for this change after getting plenty of requests for a similar show to be produced to SportsCenter or other big sporting channels events. This would allow for more commentary to be present on the show as well as allowing players to get full background analysis , in depth interviews with the stars of the tour. This change will hopefully bring in a new audience to the world of poker as well as appeal to those who enjoy the poker tours and cannot make it to the event.
The anchor position has been a closely guarded secret for the past few months, but has finally been revealed as Kimberley Lansing who many will remember from season 6 of the tour. Joining the tour again, this time in lead anchor position ‘coming back, it feels so natural and so right’, she also revealed ‘I’m excited for what we have coming up, viewers will be surprised’.
As well as the nice addition of the lovely Kimberley, the WPT have decided to create a role for 6 hot girls to known as the Royal Flush Girls there are 6 in total and will be conducting the interview and looking behind the scenes of the event. Fans will also get the chance to take pictures with them at the presentation table where they will also be selling merchandise. The girls are Michelle Banzer, Melyssa Grace, Jennifer Haley, Melanie Iglesias, Sunisa Kim, and Katrina Topacio
